Do your feet have the winter blues?

The cold, long winter can give your feet the winter blues.  Having been bundled up in socks, closed toe shoes and waterproof boots may have made showing your feet to the world again a scary thought.  Rejuvenate and nurture your cracked dry or flakey feet by taking a few simple steps.

Moisturize your feet several times a day.  In the evenings apply a generous amount of an emollient rich moisturizer or a specially formulated foot cream to your feet.  After applying put on cotton socks to help lock in moisture.  You will wake up to feet that are hydrated and softer feeling feet.  Buff away any remaining dead skin with a foot file or pumice stone to reveal the smoothness.

Relax with a foot soothing bath.  Soak your feet in a tub of warm water mixed with a 100% Natural Moisturizing Oil to help revitalize. The combination of a naturally rich oil with warm water will help soften and nourish those dry damaged feet and heels.  Slough away the dead skin with a foot file or pumice stone.  To prevent dryness from reoccurring, apply a heavy moisturizer such as Cocoa Butter Petroleum Jelly to your feet nightly.  Cover with socks, lock in the moisture and your feet will be ready for spring.

Once your feet are spring ready, it is important to routinely use an emollient rich cream, butter or oil to keep them hydrated and healthy all summer long.  Naturally rich products such as Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter and Coconut Oil can be applied throughout the day and are available in several different formulations so you can pick the product that best meets your needs.

Now that you have beautiful feet treat yourself to a great pair of summer sandals!
